On August 20 session, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) continued to make new moves, reducing T-bill interest rates from 4.25%/year in the previous session to 4.2%/year. This is the second time SBV has reduced T-bill interest rates since the beginning of August.
Previously, in the session of August 5, SBV moved to reduce the interest rate for mortgage loans on valuable papers (OMO) from 4.5%/year to 4.25%/year, this is the first time SBV has reduced it. OMO interest rates as of the end of 2023 according to data from Wichart.
