End of SJC gold bar auction on May 14, 2024 organized by the State Bank with the following results: Number of winning units: 8 units Total winning bid volume: 81 lots (8,100 taels of gold) Highest winning bid price: 87,730,000 VND/tael Lowest winning bid price: 87,720,000 VND/tael According to the previous announcement of the State Bank, the reference price to calculate the deposit price is 88 million VND/tael. However, before the auction, the State Bank decided to lower the reference price to 87.7 million VND/tael. Like previous auctions, members participating in the auction will have to deposit 10% of the registered volume value (according to the reference price). The bidding price step is 10,000 VND/tael, the bidding volume step is 1 lot (100 tael). However, the difference compared to previous auctions is that the minimum bidding volume a member is allowed to bid is 5 lots (equivalent to 500 taels), 2 lots (200 taels) lower than prescribed in previous auctions. The maximum bidding volume a member is allowed to bid is 40 lots (equivalent to 4,000 taels), 20 lots (2,000 taels) more than prescribed in previous auctions. At the most recent auction, on May 8, 3 members won the bid with a total volume of 34 lots (equivalent to 3,400 taels of gold). The winning bid price is 86.05 million VND/tael. In the auction on April 23, 3,400 taels of gold were successfully auctioned, the highest winning price was 81.33 million VND, the lowest was 81.32 million VND. After 3 successful auctions, a total of 14,900 taels of gold were supplied to the market.
